The book is narrated with various elements on their tour including the people working in the hotels,  an essay on German Language and a satirical description of German dailies.

Book Description

France, 1308. Whilst King Philippe continues to challenge the Papacy, Jean Bellimont (oblivious to such politics) is leading a quiet, contented life as scribe in the city of Troyes. When his Bishop is arrested on spurious charges and Pope Clement sends an envoy to investigate, Philippe responds by dispatching two of his most trusted Knights. Within days, one of the Cardinals is murdered, and France teeters on the brink of open war with the Church. Soon a solution presents itself in the form of the local apothecary, and Jean is the only one who believes in his innocence. After "Pilgrimage", this is the second of the three Jean Bellimont novels, and is an amalgam of fact and speculative fiction. Download this FREE e-Book today!
